On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees beat the Orioles (in Baltimore) by a score of 6-2.
They snapped a four-game losing streak (and will look to win the series on Wednesday afternoon).
Also on Tuesday, the team called up Anthony Volpe (he did not play in Tuesday’s game).

Before Tuesday’s win, Jazz Chisholm Jr. was asked about Volpe (and spoke highly of his teammate).
Chisholm Jr. (via YES Network): “To see him strive and went through high school to come to New York at a super young age, that’s why I feel like he’s built for this. To go through it, the last three years as a New York Yankees shortstop, to go through it as a hurt guy playing shortstop in New York, struggling and still pushing through it no matter what. That takes a pretty tough person. I think he can do it and push through a lot more than people think.”

Volpe was the 30th pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
He off to a great start to his career, winning a Gold Glove as a rookie (and helping the Yankees reach the World Series in 2024).
Last season (his third year), Volpe batted .212 with 114 hits, 19 home runs, 72 RBI’s, 65 runs and 18 stolen bases in 153 games.

After Wednesday’s series finale they will get the day off on Thursday before starting a series with the New York Mets on Friday night at Citi Field.
