The Knicks are looking to bounce back versus the Hawks.

The New York Knicks suddenly find themselves on a losing streak as the Atlanta Hawks hold a 2-1 lead heading into Game 4. It is not all bad news in Gotham City.

Ahead of Game 4, the Knicks revealed that the team does not have a player listed on the injury report. With a healthy roster, the Knicks have little in the way of excuses if the team drops their third straight game against the Hawks.

Hawks center Jock Landale is listed as out against the Knicks for Game 4.

Here’s what you need to know about the Knicks-Hawks series.

Knicks Consider Starting Lineup Changes for Game 4 vs. Hawks

While the roster may not look different, Knicks head coach Mike Brown left the door open for team potentially altering their starting lineup and rotation for Game 4. Brown was not ready to reveal what those changes may look like in Atlanta.

“That’ll be a game-time decision,” Brown noted April 24, 2026, per The Athletic’s James L. Edwards. “Like I said (Thursday) night, at this point in the year, anything is on the table — what we do offensively, what we do defensively, what our rotations are, who starts, what we come out with. Everything is on the table.”

The Knicks Have Not Had an Answer for Hawks Guard CJ McCollum

Trae Young may no longer be wearing a Hawks jersey, but another Knicks nemesis is emerging in CJ McCollum. The veteran guard has had several clutch moments against New York to push Atlanta to a 2-1 lead in the series.

“You see the things on the court, the way he can make a big shot and make a play for someone else,” Hawks head coach Quin Snyder said of McCollum, per NBA.com. “The things most people don’t see have had a big impact on our team. When he first got here I asked him to come off the bench ‘cause I thought it was important to the other players and their role. I asked CJ to accept a different role than what he had.

“That was a foundational moment that has allowed him to lead. That’s the biggest thing for us, that he’s a leader. He has not been a point guard but a `lead’ guard and his voice has been important for our team.”

Through the first three games, McCollum is averaging 27 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting a blazing 50.8% from the field.

Knicks vs. Hawks: Atlanta Is Now Favored to Win the Playoff Series Over New York

The Hawks are a 2.5-point home underdog against the Knicks in Game 4, per DraftKings. Atlanta is now favored to win the series at -130 compared to +100 for New York.

Brown indicated the Knicks are preparing for a seven-game series. Another loss in Game 4 would make this reality unlikely for New York.

“I told (our players) it’s a seven-game series for a reason,” Brown noted, via NBA.com. “Stuff’s gonna happen. We gave ourselves a chance despite not playing our best basketball.”

All signs point to another thrilling matchup in Atlanta for Game 4.
