Former Bulls guard

With the Minnesota Timberwolves moving on to the second round, they still have plenty of concerns in the injury department.

Ayo Dosunmu is one name to keep an eye on, along with Anthony Edwards and the already-out Donte DiVincenzo.

The Timberwolves knew the moment that DiVincenzo landed his diagnosis that he would be absent for the remainder of the playoffs. The veteran guard is dealing with an Achilles tear.

As for Anthony Edwards, he is recovering from a knee injury. While it’s not season-ending, the Timberwolves currently have the guard on a week-by-week timeline. There isn’t a true target date for return in place for Edwards.

After getting some time off after taking down the Denver Nuggets, the Timberwolves were back on the practice court on Saturday.

Ayo Dosunmu wasn’t a part of the action, which places his status for the second round in question. The veteran guard is dealing with a calf injury.

Dosunmu started his first playoff game with the Timberwolves in Game 5 against the Nuggets. He earned that right after dropping 43 points in a 112-96 win.

Although the Timberwolves lost Game 5, Dosunmu finished the night with 18 points, four assists, and three rebounds. Due to his injury, he missed the close-out Game 6 on April 30.

Dosunmu doesn’t seem to be in danger of missing a lot of time, but the Timberwolves haven’t revealed his status for the start of the series against the San Antonio Spurs yet.

The series begins on Monday, May 4. The game tips off at 9:30 PM ET.
