On Saturday, the Detroit Tigers will continue their series with the Texas Rangers (at home) in Michigan.
They are coming off a 5-4 loss (on Friday).
The team has been playing without Javier Báez since getting hurt on April 28.
Tigers PR wrote (on April 29): “The Tigers today placed RHP Casey Mize on the 15-day injured list with a right adductor strain and placed INF Javier Báez on the 10-day injured list with a right ankle sprain. LHP Enmanuel DeJesus and INF Jace Jung have been recalled from Triple-A Toledo.”

Detroit Tigers Announce Latest Javier Báez News

On May, the Tigers announced the latest update on Báez.
The Tigers wrote (via their medical update): “(right ankle sprain) is completing rehab daily.”
According to MLB.com, Báez is supposed to return on May 9.
While it’s a small update, the news that he is already rehabbing is a good sign that he can return quickly.
The 33-year-old is currently batting .256 with 2o hits, two home runs, six RBI’s, ten runs and one stolen base in 24 games.
