Brock Lesnar stands in the ring after he appeared to retire following his loss to Oba Femi in their match during WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One of the most shocking moments of WrestleMania 42 happened on Night 2 when Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a passing of the torch match.

However, Lesnar topped it by seemingly retiring after the match. He removed his gloves and boots, putting them in the middle of the ring and having an emotional hug with Paul Heyman.

While there were rumors that The Beast was retiring in 2026, not many anticipated that it would happen at WrestleMania. That’s why there was speculation that Lesnar’s retirement wasn’t official.

Less than a month after WrestleMania, WWE has seemingly confirmed Brock Lesnar’s status with a subtle move.

According to Fightful, WWE has moved Lesnar’s profile on its official website to the alumni section.

Brock Lesnar has been moved to the WWE alumni section.

If you do go to WWE.com, Lesnar’s profile is indeed in the alumni section. That usually means a WWE star is no longer active.

His contract status is unclear since if he’s retired, WWE could offer him a Legends contract or even an ambassador role like John Cena.

But knowing Lesnar’s preference to stay away from the public eye, he’s unlikely to be an ambassador unless it’s for a huge sum.

Nevertheless, after WWE’s kayfabe-breaking storyline involving Seth Rollins‘ knee injury last year, fans are having a tough time telling if Lesnar is indeed retired or not.

With SummerSlam being held in Minneapolis, a city that helped shap Lesnar’s life and career, it’s fair that some would assume that would be the perfect place for his official retirement.

Paul Heyman Comments on Brock Lesnar’s Retirement Status

Less than a month after calling out TMZ for posting an old clip of his interview about Brock Lesnar’s retirement, Paul Heyman spoke to the media outlet recently.

Heyman took some shots at TMZ’s Harvey Levin before seemingly confirming Lesnar’s status as retired. The Hall of Famer also didn’t know that The Beast was going to end his career at WrestleMania 42.

“If I knew he was gonna retire, would have I gone on record saying he’s gonna dominate the next 15 years?” Heyman said. “Why is Harvey (Levin) asking these stupid questions? I love Harvey, Mark Itkin loves Harvey, but why?”

The legend also answered a question about his emotions being real after Lesnar’s decision, saying, “I was crying. Am I that good of an actor that I can cry on cue?”

While Lesnar’s time with Heyman appears to be over, The Oracle is hyped about The Vision’s future in WWE.

“What’s next?” Heyman said. “Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, The Vision taking over WWE. … Well, The Wise Man cometh. I’m still around, and after 40 years I always have a finger on the pulse of what’s coming next.”

The Vision have some gold on their waists, with Paul and Theory being the World Tag Team Champions. Reed is currently sidelined due to injury, while Breakker is set to face Seth Rollins at Backlash.
