Brooks Koepka will not play the RBC Heritage.
Fresh off a strong outing at the Masters, Brooks Koepka needed some help in order to make the RBC Heritage field. Koepka posted a T12 finish at Augusta National with a 5-under-par score.
PGATour.com’s Paul Hodowanic reported that Koepka would likely make the RBC Heritage field if a late withdraw happened.
“A reminder that a late WD at the RBC Heritage will (likely) get Brooks Koepka in,” Hodowanic detailed in an April 15, 2026, message on X. “If he does get in, Keith Mitchell and Taylor Moore will as well to satisfy the Returning Member Program guidelines.
“Note: If the WD is one of the 10 event winners from ’25 who are getting their makeup start from Sentry, their spot would not get filled. Hence, the likely caveat above.”
After the tournament started, Koepka’s name is nowhere to be found on the RBC Heritage leaderboard. It appears Koepka did not get the late break he needed and will not play at the RBC Heritage.
This is not stopping Koepka from trying to play the event. During the first round of the tournament, Koepka was spotted at Harbour Town Golf Links waiting to see if anyone withdraws.

Fans will not have to wait long to see Koepka back on the golf course. Koepka has already confirmed his plans to play in the Zurich Classic on April 23.
The star will team up with Shane Lowry in New Orleans in the stroke-play team event. Ironically, Koepka will replace Rory McIlroy as Lowry’s traditional partner in the event.
McIlroy’s feelings about Koepka and the other golfers who defected to LIV Golf has been well-documented. During the Masters, Koepka admitted to enjoying life a lot more upon his return to the PGA Tour.
“Yeah, I’m just enjoying it a whole lot more,” Koepka told reporters on April 10. “I think there is a huge difference of I’m excited to come out and play every week.
“It is just overall if your happiness is through the roof off the golf course and on the golf course, it’s really tough to beat it. You’re going enjoy every day, everything you’re doing. I think that’s been a huge thing.”
It appears Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour came at the perfect time. Rumors continue to swirl that LIV Golf is in danger of shutting down.
Koepka noted that he still has a good relationship with LIV golfers like Jon Rahm despite his abrupt departure.
“Everything is fine,” Koepka said of his relationship with LIV golfers. “Jon texted me as soon as I left, said hi to him. Saw Tyrrell (Hatton). See them quite a bit.
“Saw him in Orlando Saturday I believe. Drove up there. So everything is fine. I think no relationship has changed.”
As a reminder, Koepka left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf in July 2022. Koepka landed a deal which topped $100 million to join LIV, per The Athletic’s Brody Miller.
The star has a combined career earnings topping $98 million factoring in his time with both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, per Spotrac.
