Mitchell Robinson Was Already Breaking Inside Before He Snapped on Dyson Daniels in Game 6

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ New York Knicks finished the Atlanta Hawks series with a big win on April 30, 2026. Still, the most eye-opening moment of the night was a total non-scoring aspect. In fact, Knicks center Mitchell Robinson was silently pleading for help even before the madness on the court broke out.

His heartfelt social media admission, together with the physical fight on the floor, revealed a situation much greater than the game of ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌basketball.

Mitchell Robinson’s Haunting Facebook Post

Before the Game 6 blowout, Robinson had been battling something far more serious than a playoff opponent. The 7-foot center took to Facebook to share his thoughts, writing that he was “lost in the world at the moment” and had a gut feeling that something bad was coming, posting, “Knew something was gone happen. My mental just not the same.”

The message came as a reply to his own earlier post, where he had written, “Trying so hard to stay calm,” revealing a man visibly struggling to hold himself together as the pressure of the postseason mounted.

Robinson and Dyson Daniels’ Game 6 Ejection

With the Knicks leading by an astonishing 50 points in the first half, frustrations in Atlanta reached a boiling point. Hawks guard Dyson Daniels threw an extra elbow into Robinson’s chest while jostling for free-throw rebound position, and things escalated instantly.

Players from both benches poured onto the court, a referee and a security guard were knocked to the floor, and a massive scrum unfolded in front of the State Farm Arena crowd.

After a review, officials ejected both Robinson and Daniels, ending Robinson’s night after just nine minutes, six points, three rebounds, and two blocks.

Knicks Advance After Historic Beatdown of the Hawks

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ ejection had no impact on New York’s annihilation of Atlanta. The Knicks emerged victorious in Game 6 with a final score of 140-89, thereby closing the first-round series with a 4-2 win. The 83-36 halftime deficit marked one of the biggest in NBA playoff history.

OG Anunoby was upfront with a powerful 29-point performance on a highly efficient 15-of-20 shooting, culminating in one of the most one-sided playoff wins in recent ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌memory.

Robinson’s Role in the Knicks’ Playoff Run

He‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ has been a crucial player for New York even though his playing time has been limited. He provided physicality, rim protection, and energy whenever he was on the court against Atlanta.

The stats of 6.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in around 14 minutes per game highlight his role as a solid part of the rotation.
