Brooks Koepka reveals career change.

Brooks Koepka is looking to win his fourth PGA Championship this week.

The PGA Championship is set for May 14-17 at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, a suburb west of Philadelphia. Koepka has had plenty of success at the Major, as he won it in 2018, 2019, and 2023, which are three of his five majors.

Although Koepka did win the PGA Championship while he was playing on LIV, he has struggled in the past couple of years. Yet, after shooting a back nine of 29 on Saturday at ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, he said he’s finally having fun playing golf again.

“That’s the most excited I’ve been playing golf in a long, long time,” Koepka said after his round. “I can tell you that much. I would say back until ’23, the PGA. That’s the most — it’s been a long time since I’ve had fun playing golf. I was very frustrated last year. Just wasn’t in a good place, but I think a lot of times when you — it’s like anybody, right?

“If they’re happy off the golf course, they’re going to play well on the golf course. I think that’s a huge, huge piece of it, and I’ve found that. Refound my happiness, my love for the game. All the pieces are connected. It’s just now I’ve got to go out and go play.”

Kopeka being happy playing golf is a good sign for him and contending for his fourth PGA Championship.

Koepka Feels Close Ahead of PGA Championship

Although Koepka has yet to win a golf event since returning to the PGA Tour, he feels close to putting it all together.

Koepka has been playing better as of late, and he believes he’s getting close to putting it all together.

“I’m super excited. It will be something I’ve been looking forward to for a while,” Koepka said. “I feel like I’ve been knocking on the door. It’s very close. It’s one piece here, one piece there.”

Kopeka finished the Myrtle Beach Classic tied for 11th at -12, which was six shots back of the lead. He shot a 1-under fourth round and will look to continue his solid play at the PGA Championship.

Koepka, meanwhile, has the 10th-best odds at +3600, which implies a 2.7% chance of winning the PGA Championship and his sixth-career major, and fourth time winning this event.
