The 20-year-old drove the HendrickCars.com Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports and stayed out front when a last-lap crash brought the NASCAR race to an early end under caution.

The Ag-Pro 300 marked the 11th event of the 2026 season and quickly became a key NASCAR update, as the result was decided in the final seconds. The race had only two cautions. The first came on Lap 1 after a crash involving Patrick Staropoli, David Starr, and Tyler Ankrum. After that, the event stayed green until the final lap.

Jesse Love led the most laps with 37 and looked strong in the lead draft. However, he lost track position late and finished seventh. His team mate, Austin Hill, stalled on pit road during the final green-flag stop and dropped out of contention, finishing 13th.

Stage 1 went to Carson Kvapil and Justin Allgaier of JR Motorsports. Both drivers later incurred pass-through penalties for post-pit stop blending violations, which ended their chances of winning the NASCAR race.

The official top 10 in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series results were Day, Creed, Brent Crews, Sammy Smith, Jeremy Clements, Dean Thompson, Love, Brandon Jones, Parker Retzlaff, and Austin Green.

NASCAR heads to Texas after Talladega result

This NASCAR update shifts focus to the next race on the schedule. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will continue its season at Texas Motor Speedway on May 2. The race is set to start at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on The CW.
