On Friday night, the New York Yankees are playing the Houston Astros in Texas.
Giancarlo Stanton had one hit and one RBI in three at-bats.
The Yankees led by a score of 8-2 after six innings.

The Yankees have now made the decision to pull Stanton from the game (after an apparent injury).
There has been no official update from the team (via social media) yet.

Stanton had come into the night batting .253 with 22 hits, three home runs, 13 RBI’s and eight runs in his first 23 games of the season.
He is in his ninth year playing for the Yankees.

While all eyes will be on Stanton’s status going forward, the Yankees have been off to an excellent start to the 2026 season.
They are the first-place team in the American League East with a 16-9 record in 25 games.
Following two more games against the Astros, the Yankees will visit the Texas Rangers on Monday evening.
