Netflix has given a name to its Las Vegas-set drama starring Oscar Isaac and has started to fill out its cast.

The series from Billions creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien and executive produced by Martin Scorsese will be called The Roman. Betty Gilpin, Alec Baldwin and David Costabile have joined Isaac in the cast.

The Roman centers on Isaac’s character, Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, president of a hot hotel-casino in Las Vegas. The show will chronicle his efforts to secure and expand his position in the city.

Three-time Emmy nominee Gilpin (Death by Lightning, GLOW) will play Marla Blake, Bobby’s wife and a well-connected lawyer who knows the dark corners of Las Vegas as well as her husband does. Baldwin will play Paul “Primo” Clark, a Vegas business legend and surrogate father figure to Bobby who doesn’t mind his protegés fighting for his favor.

Costabile, who was a regular on Billions, is playing Bill Saverick, the operator of another Vegas casino who’s a personal friend but a professional rival to Bobby.

Koppelman and Levien will serve as showrunners and writers on the series. They executive produce with Scorsese (via his Sikelia Productions); Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn for Expanded Media; J.C. Chandor, who is directing the first two episodes; and Paul Schiff, Beth Schacter and Isaac, who recently signed a first-look deal with Netflix via his Mad Gene company. Kerry Orent is co-exec producer.

Gilpin is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Hansen Jacobson. Baldwin is repped by UTA and manager Matt DelPiano. Costabile is with Verve and Gartner Group Entertainment.
