MeatEater’s Steven Rinella Signs With UTA (Exclusive)
Etan Vlessing · 2026-05-29 · via The Hollywood Reporter

Steven Rinella and his outdoor media and commerce company MeatEater, producer of the MeatEater series on Netflix and YouTube Channel, have signed with United Talent Agency for representation.

The Hollywood talent, entertainment, sports and advisory company will work with Rinella to expand business opportunities in digital video and audio, which already includes the longrunning MeatEater reality TV show and The MeatEater Podcast on Spotify. UTA will also look to expand MeatEater into brand partnerships, TV and live touring. That’s after Rinella has built a fan following among outdoor enthusiasts as a writer, TV performer and podcast host.

“Driven by Steven Rinella — a singular storyteller, history buff, conservationist, podcaster, and creator — and backed by an impressive leadership team, MeatEater’s built a deeply loyal community. We’re excited to partner with a brand whose audience doesn’t just follow the lifestyle; they live it,” Oren Rosenbaum, partner and co-head of UTA Creators, said in a statement.

MeatEater is UTA’s latest bet on the emerging creator economy, where audience-first storytelling by digital creators like Rinella has reshaped how Hollywood content is discovered, financed, developed and monetized.

“MeatEater has uniquely positioned itself as a leading media brand super serving conservation-minded Americans who hunt, fish, and lead their best lives in the outdoors. We’re pleased to partner with the team at UTA to provide our passionate fans with even more opportunities to engage with the MeatEater brand wherever they watch, listen, read, and gather,” MeatEater CEO Jason Bergsman added in his own statement.

The MeatEater TV series, hosted by Rinella, is now in production on the 14th season, with around 1.8M subscribers following the show on Netflix, the YouTube channel and elsewhere on ad-supported streaming channels. MeatEater is set to announce expanded FAST channel offerings and distribution, in addition to a new live tour, in the coming months.

Rinella also hosts The MeatEater Podcast twice a week, alongside MeatEater’s Clay Newcomb hosting Bear Grease as a sports podcast and the true crime podcast release Blood Trails. And MeatEater is set to launch a new season of its MeatEater’s American History podcast series, as it chronicles American West gunfighters and is hosted by author Bryan Burrough.

Rinella has written ten books and six audiobooks, including American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon, a host of cookbooks and Outdoor Kids in an Inside World, a guide for parents to get their families out of the house and into nature.

Rinella also advocates for conservation, public land access and responsible hunting practices. Rinella and MeatEater continue to be represented by Marc Gerald at Europa Content for publishing. Burrough is represented by the Wylie Agency, working with CAA.
