‘Sinners’ House to Sink Its Teeth Into Halloween Horror Nights 2026
Jackie Strau · 2026-05-22 · via The Hollywood Reporter

Halloween Horror Nights is inviting guests to cross the threshold and survive until sunrise in the music and monster-filled world of Ryan Coogler’s Sinners

As part of the event’s 35th anniversary season, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort have partnered with Proximity Media to transform Coogler’s original vampire tale into an immersive haunted house experience beginning Aug. 28 in Orlando and Sept. 3 in Los Angeles.

Set in 1930s Mississippi Delta, guests will return to twin brothers Smoke and Stack’s hometown, arriving at the juke joint they plan to open for the community. But soon after their arrival at Club Juke, parkgoers will see their celebration turn to chaos and terror when nefarious, red-eyed vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan appear. As guests attempt to evade their vampires’ insatiable hunger, they will become caught in a deadly struggle between the monsters and twins while encountering a number of the film’s other characters, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread, along the way.

“It’s been incredible to see audiences connect with Sinners in such a powerful way,” said Coogler, Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian, the film’s producers and founders of Proximity Media. “Now, partnering with Halloween Horror Nights gives fans the chance to step even deeper into the world of the film — to feel the music, the atmosphere and the tension all around them. Watching it come to life on this scale has been really special for all of us.”

The house’s arrival comes after the Warner Bros. Discovery film garnered widespread critical and audience acclaim, made over $370 million at the global box office, and scored a record-breaking 16 Oscar nominations with four wins including Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay.

“The moment Sinners premiered, we knew it was an undeniable fit for Halloween Horror Nights and it’s an honor to bring this story to life,” said Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort. “It’s rare for a film to fully satisfy hardcore horror fans while also inviting new audiences into the genre — and that’s exactly what Sinners does. Its world, characters and intensity will translate into a relentless haunted house. We can’t wait for our fans to step inside and experience the horror firsthand in a way that only Halloween Horror Nights can deliver.”

“At Halloween Horror Nights, we push the boundaries of what a live horror experience can be,” added John Murdy, Executive Producer, Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Hollywood. “Just as Ryan Coogler’s Academy Award-winning film, Sinners re-invented the vampire movie, we are re-inventing the haunted house and creating new ways to scare our guests that we’ve never attempted and are thrilled to bring this amazing story to life in a truly terrifying and fully immersive way.”

Sinners is the first house announced as part of the bicoastal event, which this year doubles for the Orlando Resort as its 48-night 35th anniversary season, alongside a record-breaking 42 night run for the Hollywood park. Merchandise for the Sinners maze experience is already available

Select tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood, which will feature eight haunted houses, the Terror Tram experience, multiple scare zones and more, are also now on sale. That includes general admission, early access (entry to select haunted houses beginning at 5:30 p.m.), and the multi-night Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear passes. This year’s Day/Night offering — the after 2 p.m. ticket — along with the Universal Express ticket and R.I.P Tour will all include access from 7-11:30 p.m. PT to the new “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” coaster set to open later this year.

At Universal Orlando, select tickets, upgrades and event-inclusive vacation packages are currently on sale, granting access to 10 new haunted houses, live entertainment, scare zones, street experiences and a few “surprises” according to the park. Guests can currently purchase  single-night tickets, the Scream Early add-on ticket (grants access to Universal Studios Florida and select haunted houses beginning at 2 p.m. ET with a valid Halloween Horror Nights admission ticket), and the Premium Scream Night, which returns now as an expanded two-night offering — Aug. 27 and Oct. 19.

Other Orlando event extras include Resort packages offering exclusive event benefits like a dedicated HHN entry gate, as well as Halloween Horror Nights Express passes, the R.I.P Tour, and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour which offers lights on walkthroughs of select houses.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 runs from Aug. 27 to Nov. 1 at Universal Orlando and Sept. 3 to Nov. 1 at Universal Hollywood.
