Celebrity stylist Harry Lambert met Harry Styles in 2014, and they’ve been working together ever since. Lambert, like Styles, isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of traditional menswear, leaning into joyful dressing and nostalgia-fueled fashion moments. And throughout his career — from styling Styles to Bad Bunny — Lambert’s secret has been sourcing second-hand, archival gems from eBay.

Earlier this week, Lambert caught up with The Hollywood Reporter to break down what he’s eyeing, what he’s buying and how he’s incorporating eBay’s Spring/Summer 2026 Watchlist Trend Report into his closet (and the closets of his clients).

For context, each season, the e-tailer launches what it calls a Watchlist, a data-backed style guide compiling the labels, items and aesthetics currently dominating the conversation (and search trends). The report aggregates consumer purchasing habits to pinpoint what’s most in demand in resale right now — essentially, what pieces are surging, selling and holding value on eBay.

For Spring/Summer 2026, the insights are organized into five overarching trends: unexpected color pairings (dubbed “Color Interruption”); subtly undone looks (“Slightly Unsettled”); sheer layers and tactile details (“Weightless Drama”); statement-making pieces with a little bit of camp (“Drenched in Disruption”) and lived-in yet intentional silhouettes (“Quiet Confidence”). Lambert’s favorites? Color Interruption and Quiet Confidence, as seen in a couple “amazing Issey Miyake and Prada suits [he recently] bought off eBay” (and then tailored to perfection).

On the topic of Prada, the label just so happens to be Lambert’s favorite to track down on the marketplace. “Literally yesterday, I had notifications turned on for the Prada Spring/Summer 2012 studded jacket, and it came up… It’s a bit out of my budget, but it’s a collector’s piece I really want.”

As he did for the Prada jacket, Lambert is a big fan of setting eBay notifications. This strategy has led Lambert to some major eBay wins as of late, namely a leopard shearling Loewe Puzzle Bag that he deems “the dream bag.” But he’s certainly a man of range: “The other day, I was like, oh my God, I loved SpongeBob SquarePants t-shirts when I was a kid, and then I got into this hole of searching on eBay and found all these amazing vintage ones.” (Very “Drenched in Disruption” of him.)

But in all seriousness, this is just one example of how Lambert is motivated by media, culture and nostalgia, and how the style moments he creates, in turn, further drive the trend landscape.

“I think it’s the child in me, like watching Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne music videos and being inspired by them and the way they dress,” Lambert tells THR. Fashion always comes back around — thanks, largely, to music, television and film. Most recently, this can be seen with “The CBK effect,” reinvigorated by Ryan Murphy’s Love Story. According to the report, “in March alone, global eBay users searched for Calvin Klein more than 3,800x per hour — from screen to search, the impact was immediate.”
