• Spring AI continues to shine, and Spring team legend Craig Walls has been publishing an excellent recipe series. I’ve been featuring these weekly because they’re genuinely worth your time. His newest entry explores reasoning and acting (ReAct) with Spring AI.
• Julien Dubois from the Spring community has been maintaining an intriguing Spring Boot UI project, and it looks like one to watch.
• Here’s a fun one: Spring FlashAPI is a community-built tool that generates REST APIs directly from your JPA entities. Apparently, you don’t even need a Spring Data repository. Pretty neat.
• Craig Walls is back with even more Spring AI goodness, this time tackling a graph-based agentic workflow with LangGraph4j.
• Embabel 1.5.0 is now out in the wild, bringing an agentic workflow engine on top of Spring AI. Craig has already updated his posts to reflect the release.
• I’m also excited about spring-ai-privacy-guardrails, a community project focused on request-scoped PII tokenization and least-privileged disclosure across model/tool calls, with Presidio and JVM-local OpenNLP.
• If you’re interested in safer code, this is a solid read on null-safety with JSpecify and Spring.
