Understood it's an automated process, but it's also probably not necessary to create a new empty commit when nothing changes:

• it keeps updating the "Last Updated" date here
• this package constantly appears in the list of recently modified AUR packages
• your aur git history will explode (it's already a bit long for a 9-day old package: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/log/?h=optiscaler-client-bin ,-)
• and, it got caught in my AUR scanning little project (which is why I noticed)

I believe striping is affecting the binary. If you want you can try something like this instead:
