The first Monday of May is finally here, and fashion’s biggest night is making headlines all over the world. The 2026 Met Gala, co-chaired by Anna Wintour, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams, was themed around the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s “Costume Art” exhibition. The dress code for the evening was Fashion is Art, and attendees brought their creative best to the red carpet.

Wintour, meanwhile, turned the event into a family affair. The fashion mogul’s daughter Bee Shaffer graced the event with her husband Francesco Carrozzini, while Wintour’s son Charles Shaffer brought his wife Elizabeth Cordry Shaffer along. The three women were also spotted at the New York City premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 recently.
Here’s everything you need to know about Bee Shaffer.

Bee Shaffer, also known as Katherine, was born in July 1987, in Hammersmith, London, to parents Anna Wintour, the former editor-in-chief of Vogue, and the late David Shaffer, who was a psychiatrist. The couple – who had Bee’s brother Charles in July 1985 – parted ways in 1999.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, Shaffer described her mother, who is famous for her supposedly unapproachable personality, as “the most generous person you will ever meet”. She also recalled her being extremely punctual, efficient and easily bored, though not without a sense of humour. “I’m very punctual, it was how I was raised. It’s so easy to be on time, you’ve just got to make time for things,” the 38-year-old said.
