Three people have died and five injured in a school shooting in Central Philippines, police said.
Two persons of interest – one of them a 15-year-old Grade 9 student of the school – are now in police custody, the Inquirer reported.
The shooting occurred at around 9am on Monday morning at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City.
One suspect, classified as a Child In Conflict with the Law and a resident of Barangay San Jose, was arrested at the scene. Police caught the second after a chase and seized the gun allegedly used in the shooting.
Tacloban City police chief Noelito Getigan told the Manila Bulletin the shooting was the result of alleged bullying suffered by the suspects.
