Hong Kong is expected to experience thunderstorms on Sunday, as a cold front sweeps across the coast of Guangdong and brings temperatures down to as low as about 21 degrees Celsius (69.8 Fahrenheit) a day later.
The Hong Kong Observatory said on Saturday that the weather would turn bad late on Sunday, with a trough of low pressure over central China developing into a cold front and approaching the city.
“Locally, there will be sunny intervals [on Sunday] morning. Showers will increase with squally thunderstorms later [that day], and will be heavier in some areas,” the forecaster said.
“Temperatures will drop progressively at night to a minimum of around 21 degrees on Monday morning.”
The forecaster urged the public to keep an eye on weather changes and to check for updates when planning outdoor activities.
