Celebrity stylist and image architect Law Roach knows how to turn heads. The 47-year-old – who is best known for styling stars like Zendaya, Celine Dion and most recently, Lauren Sánchez Bezos – attended the 2026 Met Gala solo, telling Elle, “It’s one of the first times in my career that going to the Met is about me.”

In addition to his stunning Ami ensemble, which artist Naïla Opiangah painted on, Roach also made headlines for debuting an eye-catching sparkler on his ring finger at the event. Although he revealed it was a gift, he did not confirm that it was an engagement ring.
So, what do we know about Law Roach?

Roach grew up in Southside Chicago with four younger siblings. His mother suffered from alcohol and substance use disorder and abandoned him when he was a teenager, he told The Cut.
“We grew up with the old-school notion of: you go to school, you get an education, you get a job, and you have a career,” he recalled in an interview with Teen Vogue, adding, “Fashion wasn’t one of those things [where] you can automatically know that you can survive and create a livelihood off of it.”
Nevertheless, it was the women in his family who inspired his love for fashion, he revealed during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).
