Tåsinge, Denmark ‘I was out walking the dogs early in the morning in the forest close to where I live, which is also adjacent to Valdemars Slot. I could see the sky was developing into something spectacular and so I returned to my van where, fortunately, I had my camera. It’s a short drive through the forest to the slot (castle) where I got this image of the tea pavilion and some of the castle’s other outbuildings.’

Herne Hill, London, UK ‘It was a rainy Sunday in February and a dog walk had been curtailed by rain. As I walked up Herne Hill I was greeted by the most amazing rainbow. I was struck by the beauty, the contrast with the dullness of the rest of the day, and how, even now I am in my fifties, a rainbow creates a frisson of joy.’
