What is Junco?

Junco is an iOS app that turns your email newsletters into a daily podcast. Connect Gmail, or use a personal Junco inbox address (no Gmail required). Pick the newsletters you care about. Each morning, a short audio episode lands in your queue with everything that came in overnight.

It's for the people who subscribe to a dozen good newsletters and read three. The writing was good when you signed up. It's still good now. It just doesn't fit into the format your day actually has time for.

How It Works

Three steps to your
daily listen.

FAQ

You've got questions.
We've got answers.

What is Junco?

Junco is an iOS app that turns your email newsletters into AI-generated podcast episodes you can listen to on the go.

How does Junco work?

Connect your Gmail account or use the personal Junco inbox address you're given at signup. Each morning Junco fetches new newsletters, summarizes them with AI, generates audio with natural-sounding TTS, and notifies you when episodes are ready.

Do I need to connect Gmail?

No. Every Junco account comes with a personal inbox address (you@listen.tryjunco.com). You can subscribe to newsletters using that address, no Gmail required.

How is Junco different from Meco?

Meco is a newsletter reader. Junco is a complete consumption platform built audio-first, daily podcast episodes, a full podcast player with offline downloads and lock-screen controls, mixtape episodes, premium cloud voices, a 100+ newsletter discovery catalog you can subscribe to without sharing your email, and a reading view on the roadmap. For most people who subscribe to a lot of newsletters, the bottleneck isn't the reading experience, it's finding eyes-on-screen time at all. Audio is the unlock, and Junco is built end-to-end for that.

What platforms does Junco support?

Junco is currently iOS-only (iOS 17 and later). Android and web clients are on the roadmap.
