This time we flew with VietJet Air, which is a Vietnamese low-cost airline. Other than the male "flight attendants", and the plane food which was only instant noodles (probably local), everything else was quite good. This time there were a lot of us going, 25 people. So the few rows at the end of the plane were basically ours.

When we arrived locally it was already 12 o'clock. The guy who picked us up from the airport was still enthusiastic. He waited for us patiently at the airport entrance. There was also a relatively convenient currency exchange service. Many students don't really trust this guy's exchange rate, but it doesn't matter, it's just a small amount of money. He also has to make a living.

The hotel we booked was relatively remote, already quite far from the city center of Da Nang. However, it also has an advantage, which is that it's relatively quiet. Later we discovered, damn, basically all the hotels in Da Nang are very quiet. There's also no nightlife at night. At the beginning, the travel agency booked a local four-star hotel for me. Our colleagues said that it's not even as good as my RUJIA Hotel, so considering the budget issue, we just put up with it.

We figured that we were only staying there for a few days anyway. Then after we arrived at the hotel that night, we didn't look carefully. We only discovered the next morning that the place we were staying was actually quite interesting. It was all in the style of small villas, with four households. The villas were surrounded by vegetation. Waking up in the morning and lying in the yard, playing the piano, was quite pleasant.

The waiters in the hotel basically don't speak English, whatever they don't understand you. Thankfully, there was a girl at the front desk who could speak English, so we asked her to help us call a local taxi to rent a motorbike.

This time, there were a lot of us, so we booked 14 motorcycles, which was awesome. If they were all replaced with large motorcycles, wouldn't it feel a bit like a gangster movie?

On the first day, we cycled without stopping to Hoi An. Hoi An is an ancient city, famous for its lanterns. So in the evening you will see lanterns everywhere. You can also spend some money to play on the island. Our friends are still not very common, and they all hope to visit the local area. I don't like going to those so-called scenic spots very much.

The next day, we decided to go for a bike ride anyway. So we went to Bana Hills, which is where the French colonists used to go to escape the heat in Vietnam, which is why you’ll find French architecture all over the mountain. It is also home to what is said to be the longest cable car in the world. The cable car is quite a ride, going all the way from the bottom to the top of the mountain, which takes quite a while - long enough for me to forget to take my GoPro off of it when we got there. So after getting back, I’ve decided to boycott the country! Not because I’m upset about losing the GoPro, but because of the videos that were on it - luckily none of them were mine, or I would be famous!

The mountain is still pretty fun, you can go shopping, play on the rides, eat, and take pictures. There are really a lot of girls, so for those of us who pretend to be photography enthusiasts, we immediately put ourselves into a day of fighting!

We probably set off for the most beautiful road at about 3 pm, riding from dawn to sunset. It was really beautiful, with the road along the coast. Watching the beautiful coastline. I can't tell you how happy I felt inside. However, we were still in a hole that day because we took the wrong road. We thought we could go back to Da Nang through the tunnel, but after riding more than 30 kilometers, we found that the tunnel was only for cars. So we turned back and rode about 80 kilometers in the dark. I don't think anyone else has had such an experience in Vietnam!

After returning to Da Nang, we were still quite happy, because we found a restaurant that only had locals, saying that it is actually not like a restaurant, more Vietnamese. Because it is on a boat. Then the menus are all in Vietnamese. The dishes are really cheap. We ate a lot, and the cost was less than half of Ms. Xingfu's, and it was definitely fresh. The only troublesome thing was ordering. They don't understand English, and you don't speak Vietnamese. So we came up with a great way to use Google Translate and pictures. If you want to eat chicken, just put a picture of a chicken.

On the third day, we just slept in and set everything else aside. Then we went to the Vietnamese market to buy some local goods as gifts for my three family adults. Then we just waited for our flight.

This trip to Vietnam was quite rushed, but also quite interesting. Most importantly, the fees we paid were relatively low. I heard that the Mushroom Street guys who went with us supposedly paid a thousand more than we did, but the treatment was exactly the same. If you're a foodie who wants to eat seafood in Vietnam, remember this: don't go to any "Happy Sister" restaurants. They're ridiculously expensive. Just go pick a restaurant by the sea where locals eat. As long as it's not somewhere that's been reviewed on大众点评 (China's Yelp), you can bet it's a good place! Hahaha

There are also some complaints. Da Nang is actually quite dirty, messy, and chaotic, and the traffic is also very chaotic. The medical facilities are not well-equipped. During cycling, four people had a minor scrape, and they were injured to varying degrees. Then they looked for a hospital for a long time. Like the person on the right, they could only go to a roadside pharmacy for simple disinfection. I was even worse off, as I could only use the remaining medicine on the person on the right for disinfection. Moreover, the people here generally do not speak English. Of course, I think that places like Ho Chi Minh City are definitely better, at least they can speak English, and many probably also speak Chinese.
