Network Rail is warning that there won’t be any trains between London and Bedford over the next two weekends.

Over the next two weekends, rail engineers will refurbish switches and crossings at West Hampstead to improve the reliability of the equipment. They will also renew 1km of track in north London – 600 metres at Hendon and 400 metres at Belsize Tunnel.
There will also be new switches, crossings and electronics installed as part of a rail junction being constructed at Radlett Strategic Freight Interchange.
And renewing more than 1.2km of drainage at Harlington in Bedfordshire to prevent flooding.
There will also be work on the Access for All project at Luton station, where an accessible footbridge and three lifts are being constructed. Piling and excavation work is underway in preparation for the new bridge being installed.
The work means that over 20-21st and 27-28th June, East Midlands Railway services between Sheffield/Derby/Nottingham/Corby and London St Pancras International will operate between Sheffield/Derby/Nottingham/Corby and Bedford only.
