From Las Vegas to Canyons

Last Friday, I flew to Las Vegas, not for the casinos, but for an adventure that promised the raw beauty of the American Southwest. I went to the hotel and crashed. My journey into nature began early Saturday at 4am.

On the way to Horseshoe Bend, I saw mountains. I love them. They come in different shapes and mostly red. After 4 hours, we made it to Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend

After a short hike on sandy trails, We got to see a panoramic view of the Colorado River curving through the canyon. Standing at the edge, looking down at the water, I felt the excitement.

Antelope Canyon

The next stop was Antelope Canyon, 10 minutes from Horseshoe. With our native american guide leading the way, I wandered through narrow passages, surrounded by waves of rock glowing in shades of red. Many background pictures have been taken here.

The Grand Canyon

Our final stop was the Grand Canyon, a sight so majestic. The layers of red rock, shaped over millions of years, told stories of the earth's past. We spent around an hour here in different viewing points.

I stayed up late in Vegas and unfortunately learned that my flight got canceled. Despite a hiccup with my flight being canceled, I was able to find another flight. It definitely became a lifetime of an adventure.
