LG Launches UltraGear 34GX90SB-W OLED Gaming Monitor with...
Hilbert Hagedoorn · 2026-06-10 · via www.guru3d.com

LG has introduced the UltraGear 34GX90SB-W, a new 34-inch ultrawide OLED gaming monitor that combines premium gaming specifications with integrated smart monitor functionality. Unlike traditional gaming displays that require a connected PC or console for content access, the new model incorporates LG's webOS platform and onboard AI processing, allowing it to function as a standalone entertainment device. The UltraGear 34GX90SB-W is built around a 34-inch WOLED MLA+ panel featuring a native resolution of 3440 × 1440 and an aggressive 800R curvature. The curved format is designed to enhance immersion by bringing the edges of the display closer to the viewer's field of vision. LG pairs the panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time, specifications aimed squarely at competitive gaming and high-frame-rate experiences. Image quality specifications place the monitor among the more capable OLED offerings currently available. LG rates peak HDR brightness at up to 1300 nits and claims 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Support for 10-bit color output further improves suitability for HDR gaming, video consumption, and content creation workloads that benefit from accurate color reproduction.

One of the monitor's defining features is the integration of LG's Alpha 8 AI processor. The chip powers AI Picture Pro image enhancement technologies and enables the display to run webOS independently of an external computer. As a result, users can access streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+ directly from the monitor, effectively combining gaming display and smart TV functionality within a single product. Connectivity options are comprehensive. The monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports for modern gaming consoles and PCs, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, USB-C with up to 65W power delivery, and two USB-A ports supporting KVM switching. This allows users to share a keyboard and mouse between multiple connected devices while simultaneously charging compatible laptops through a single USB-C cable. The physical design features a white stand with support for height adjustment, tilt, and swivel functionality. Integrated speakers are also included, reducing reliance on external audio solutions for everyday use. LG has listed the UltraGear 34GX90SB-W at $999, placing it within the premium OLED gaming monitor segment. Its combination of a 240Hz ultrawide OLED panel, integrated smart platform, AI processing, and extensive connectivity aims to appeal to users seeking a display capable of serving both gaming and entertainment roles.
