UGREEN has officially expanded its NASync GT storage lineup with the introduction of the DXP2800 GT, a new compact NAS platform designed around AMD's Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor. The new model follows the previously released DXP4800 GT and targets enthusiasts, content creators, and small businesses seeking high-speed networking and flexible storage capabilities in a smaller footprint. The DXP2800 GT adopts a 2+2 drive bay design, offering a balance between storage capacity and system size. While UGREEN has not positioned the unit as an entry-level NAS, its compact layout makes it suitable for users who require centralized storage, media serving, backup management, and private cloud functionality without stepping up to larger four-bay or six-bay systems. At the heart of the NAS is AMD's Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor, a platform built for continuous operation and embedded computing applications. UGREEN pairs the processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory and 64GB of onboard eMMC storage dedicated to the UGOS Pro operating system. The software environment provides file management, backup tools, remote access features, and application support expected from a modern NAS platform.
One of the standout specifications is networking. The DXP2800 GT includes a 10 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, providing significantly more bandwidth than conventional 1GbE solutions. For users working with large media files, virtual machines, or multi-user storage environments, 10GbE connectivity can dramatically reduce transfer times when paired with compatible network infrastructure. External connectivity is equally comprehensive. UGREEN equips the NAS with a USB-C 10Gbps port and two USB-A 10Gbps ports for high-speed external storage expansion and peripherals. Two additional USB 2.0 ports remain available for lower-bandwidth devices such as UPS monitoring hardware or other accessories. The system also includes an HDMI 2.1 TMDS output, allowing direct display connectivity for supported local applications and multimedia workloads. The launch reflects the broader trend toward more capable NAS hardware as home users and small businesses increasingly adopt self-hosted storage, media servers, backup solutions, and private cloud environments. Faster networking, more powerful processors, and improved software ecosystems have become key differentiators in the NAS market, and UGREEN's latest model aligns with those developments. European pricing is set at approximately $404.79, with an introductory launch promotion reducing the effective price to around $364.29. That positions the DXP2800 GT as a relatively affordable 10GbE-capable NAS solution in a segment traditionally dominated by established storage vendors.
