AGON by AOC Announces AGON PRO AGP277QKDC Gaming Monitor
by btarunr · 2026-06-23 · via TechPowerUp

AGON by AOC, the world's leading gaming monitor brand, today announces the debut of the AGON 7 series with the launch of its first model, the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC. This 26.5-inch (67.3 cm) professional-grade monitor is the first to combine Dual Frame Mode (DFM) with next-generation Tandem WOLED technology. Engineered for competitive esports, the display offers a new standard in functional balance and technical precision.

The AGON PRO AGP277QKDC represents a new step for the AGON 7 era, bringing together advanced performance features and a more integrated "full desk experience".

  • Revolutionary Tandem WOLED: This 4th-generation panel technology uses an advanced stacked-layer design to improve light efficiency and sustain a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The structure also helps ensure long-term reliability and panel durability by distributing the emissive workload across multiple layers.
  • 540 Hz / 720 Hz Dual Frame Mode: An advanced feature that allows players to quickly adapt the monitor to the needs of different games. Players can choose between a native 540 Hz refresh rate at QHD resolution for sharper image quality, or an ultra-fast 720 Hz mode at HD resolution for exceptional motion clarity in competitive esports titles.
  • Refined workspace: The symmetric stand base maximises space for mouse and keyboard movement, supporting the wide and precise motions required in professional gaming.
  • Intuitive control: The AG7 line features a redesigned OSD for a more seamless user experience. Its improved layout makes settings easier to navigate and quicker to find. Simply hover over a setting to instantly preview its available sub-settings. Controlled through a joystick, supported by two customisable quick-access buttons for fast and easy setting adjustments.

The new aesthetic introduces a symmetric stand base designed to maximise desk space, allowing for aggressive keyboard positioning and large mouse movements. To minimise distractions, the monitor features a 4-sided frameless construction for a seamless edge-to-edge viewing experience.

Technical innovation: Dual Frame Mode and Tandem WOLED
The AGP277QKDC features Dual Frame Mode, allowing users to adapt the monitor to different gaming demands. Players can choose between a 540 Hz refresh rate at QHD (2560 × 1440) for sharper image quality, or a 720 Hz mode at HD (1280 × 720) for enhanced motion clarity in competitive esports titles.

This performance is supported by 4th-generation Tandem WOLED panel technology. By utilising a four-layer stacked architecture, the panel enhances light efficiency to sustain a peak brightness of 1,500 nits (at 1.5% APL). This stacked structure also improves reliability by distributing the emissive workload across multiple layers.

"The AGP277QKDC represents a milestone for AGON PRO on two fronts. On the technology side, WOLED at 540 Hz pushes OLED gaming speed into new territory, and Dual Frame Mode gives competitive players the option to go even faster at 720 Hz. On the design side, the new AGON 7 aesthetic is something we have been working on for a long time. The symmetric stand, frameless construction, integrated cable management and features like the pop-out headset holder reflect how seriously we take the full desk experience," says César Acosta, Senior Gaming Product Manager at AGON by AOC.

Reliability & warranty: 3-year OLED burn-in protection
To safeguard this groundbreaking investment in Tandem WOLED technology, AGON by AOC provides a comprehensive three-year manufacturer's warranty for the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC. This industry-leading coverage explicitly includes OLED burn-in protection, ensuring that professional players, streamers, and enthusiasts can push the display to its limits with long-term peace of mind.

This protection is supported by integrated OLED Care maintenance protocols, designed to preserve the 1,500-nit peak brilliance and colour accuracy of the panel for years.

Competitive specifications and connectivity
Designed for the highest tier of competition, the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC features a near-instantaneous 0.03 ms GtG response time and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certification to ensure a fluid, tear-free experience.

The monitor's visual output is defined by professional-grade colour accuracy, covering 99.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut with 1.07 billion colours (10-bit). To ensure accuracy out of the box, each unit is factory-calibrated and shipped with a dedicated calibration sheet. HDR performance is anchored by VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 500, which delivers deep blacks and nuanced shadow detail for both gaming and content creation.

Connectivity is optimized for high-bandwidth signal integrity and modern workflows:

  • Gaming & console compatibility: To support a seamless experience across platforms, the monitor is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and features Adaptive-Sync to eliminate screen tearing. It is also fully optimized for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • High-speed inputs: Includes 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20), allowing the monitor to handle extreme refresh rates without heavy signal compression.
  • USB-C integration: A single-cable solution providing 65 W Power Delivery and HBR3 bandwidth for simultaneous video, data transfer, and laptop charging.
  • Integrated KVM switch: Allows users to seamlessly control two separate PCs using a single set of peripherals, ideal for streamers managing a dual-PC setup or professionals in hybrid environments.

The physical design supports long-term operational efficiency and ergonomic comfort. The pro-tier stand offers 150 mm of height adjustment, along with tilt, swivel, and a 90° pivot for portrait orientation. Integrated workspace refinements include a pop-out headset holder, streamlined cable management through the stand, and customizable Light FX RGB lighting to suit any professional workstation.

Pricing and availability
The AGON PRO AGP277QKDC will be available from September 2026 at an MSRP of £699.
