Beyerdynamic presents a new in-ear monitor for musicians who want to get the most out of their performance. The DT 30 IE boasts balanced monitoring sound, high passive noise isolation of up to 39 dB, and an IP54-certified design that can withstand even the most intense performances - whether in the rehearsal room, at a club gig, or on the big stage.
DT 30 IE is specifically designed to meet the demands of modern live performances. Its powerful 11-mm dynamic driver delivers a balanced sound signature spanning a frequency range of 5-20,000 Hz. As a result, it enables ambitious musicians to perform with clarity and control, even in environments with high ambient noise levels, complex mixes or changing venue acoustics.
DT 30 IE's passive noise isolation, which reaches up to 39 dB, also plays a key role in this context. Rather than having to battle against loud drums, guitar amps and audience noise, artists can focus on their mix while being well shielded.
Secure fit and certified protection
The new in-ear monitor offers both comfort and durability. The compact, ergonomic earpiece sits snugly in the ear, even during long rehearsals and high-energy performances. Weighing just 2.7 grams per earpiece, this in-ear monitor is also exceptionally lightweight. The package includes three pairs of silicone ear tips and three pairs of foam ear tips in sizes S, M and L.
Because sweat, dirt particles, tight changeovers, and sometimes even rainy outdoor concerts are part of everyday life for many musicians, DT 30 IE is explicitly protected against dust and splashing water in accordance with protection class IP54. A strong selling point in a market where many products promise stage suitability but rarely have the corresponding certification.
Three pillars of exceptional performance
The Kevlar -reinforced, detachable cable with an MMCX connector system is built to last and can be replaced if necessary. Gold-plated connectors and integrated memory wire ensure a stable connection and secure fit. The interchangeable components and separately available replacement parts ultimately make the DT 30 IE a long-term monitoring solution.
"With in-ear monitors for live use in particular, we often see compromises between sound quality, isolation and durability. A truly balanced combination of these requirements is still rare", says Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager for PRO Audio at beyerdynamic. "With DT 30 IE, we aim to change that - by consistently bringing this valuable balance to the stage."
beyerdynamic's DT in-ear monitors are appreciated worldwide
beyerdynamic laid the foundation for the DT IE series at NAMM 2025, introducing four in-ear models that have since gained global recognition. DJ and producer Qris, for example, says: "Whether I'm on an arena tour, performing at a festival or playing a club show with SDP, GReeeN or DJing myself, I can always count on my beyerdynamic in-ear monitors. Their clear, balanced sound and excellent noise isolation on loud stages provide me with the same sound quality live as I'm accustomed to hearing from my beyerdynamic headphones in the studio."
American drummer, producer and content creator Abel Orta Jr. also doesn't want to miss out on the series' potential: "Even compared to custom-molded in-ear monitors, the beyerdynamic DT in-ears impressed me right away. They deliver exactly the bass, comfort and reliability I need every single day on stage."
Drummer and content creator Carl-Johan Hökdal agrees: "Besides microphones, I regularly use beyerdynamic in-ear monitors both in the studio and for live gigs. Especially as a drummer, having reliable monitoring and great isolation on stage makes a huge difference for me - and I have never felt more comfortable with my in-ear mix as I do now."
