Scythe today introduced the Magoroku CPU cooler (model: SCMR-1000). This is a large, dual fin-stack (D-type) air cooler. It uses a nickel-plated copper base from which six 6 mm-thick heatpipes pass through, conveying heat to two fin-stacks on both ends. The fin-stacks are topped by matte black steel plates. Scythe includes two Wonder Tornado 120 mm fans with this cooler.

Each of the two included fans takes in a 4-pin PWM connection, turning at speeds ranging between 300 and 2,000 RPM, pushing between 7.68 and 60.29 CFM of airflow, at a noise output of 3 to 26.88 dBA, and a static pressure ranging between 0.005 to 2.45 mm H₂O. The fans feature fluid dynamic bearings. With the fans in place, the cooler measures 134 mm x 142.5 mm x 154 mm (WxDxH), weighing 1.036 kg. Available from early next month, the cooler is priced at €39.99 including taxes.
