GIGABYTE Debuts New BRIX Mini PC Powered by Panther Lake ...
by btarunr · 2026-05-28 · via TechPowerUp

As edge AI adoption accelerates across the commercial market, GIGABYTE Technology, a global leader in high-performance computing, today announced the new GB-BRU9-386H for its BRIX Mainstream ultra-compact mini PC series—expanding its enterprise on-premises AI portfolio. Powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and manufactured on the Intel 18A process node technology, the new system delivers up to 75% higher NPU performance than the previous generation, reaching up to 50 TOPS to accelerate AI inference and improve overall computing efficiency.

Staying true to BRIX's compact design, the latest BRIX Mainstream packs a 0.46-liter chassis with an ultra-slim 35 mm profile for easy deployment in space-constrained environments. Built for real-world business needs—from retail and industrial automation to surveillance and medical imaging—it delivers high performance, low latency, and privacy-preserving on-site computing at edge, helping organizations turn AI use cases into operational outcomes faster.

As the flagship model of the BRIX Mainstream lineup, the GB-BRU9-386H is built on the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, integrating CPU, GPU, and NPU to efficiently handle AI and compute-intensive workloads. With built-in Intel Graphics, the platform delivers up to 40 TOPS of GPU compute and up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance, enabling faster AI inference, machine vision, and real-time data processing for edge AI and intelligent robotics applications. For memory and storage, the GB-BRU9-386H supports up to 128 GB DDR5-6400 and offers two M.2 NVMe SSD slots, ensuring high-speed access, smooth multitasking, and scalable expansion.

Designed for real-world integration, the BRIX GB-BRU9-386H also features rich I/O to connect seamlessly with diverse devices and systems—extending its value across smart healthcare, smart surveillance, smart factories, and smart retail. In healthcare, it supports on-premises AI inference and high-resolution image processing for applications such as bone marrow smear analysis and colonoscopy image analysis, delivering low latency and strong privacy while integrating with a hospital's existing IT infrastructure. In surveillance, dual HDMI 2.1 and dual USB4 enable up to four 4K display outputs for multi-screen monitoring, intrusion detection, and decision-making. In smart factories and robotics, the platform supports machine vision, warehouse logistics, and deep learning—ideal for AMRs, robotic arms, and edge gateways. In retail, it is a strong fit for digital signage and self-checkout systems. For connectivity, 2.5GbE LAN and Intel Wi-Fi 7 support multi-device integration and high-speed, real-time data transfer, enhancing deployment efficiency across intelligent environments.

At COMPUTEX 2026, the BRIX GB-BRU9-386H will be presented at the GIGABYTE booth (K0802), showcasing a smart healthcare use case in collaboration with aetherAI. Visitors are welcome to see how next-generation edge AI mini PCs enable practical, privacy-preserving deployments across diverse industries.
