Ford’s $30K electric truck could be smaller than a Maverick.

The Autopian spotted the highly anticipated EV in Long Beach this week. Although it was heavily camouflaged, the outlet was able to estimate its measurements to be around 64-inches tall and about 195-inches long, which would make it a little smaller than a Ford Maverick. That’s extremely interesting to me as a person who thinks most trucks today are way to big for their britches. Sure, its no kei truck, but for Ford, it’s practically microscopic. Bring on the baby trucks!

Ford’s diminutive electric truck is expected to go on sale in 2027.

Google is suing to dismantle a phishing kit operation it says has scammed hundreds of thousands of people.

“Outsider Enterprise” allegedly distributes phishing templates that have scammed people out of millions of dollars. Google says over a million fraudulent URLs are linked to the group, and that over just two weeks, it sent 2.5 million messages to Android users with links to fraudulent websites.

Expect to hear about Google’s new Home speaker next week.

A Thursday email to Google Home users says there are over 3.5 million Gemini for Home early access testers, and that people should “keep a very close eye on your inbox next week” for news about “a certain speaker.” That sounds like the Google Home speaker we previewed in October, which was projected to launch in spring 2026.

The feature is rolling out now and supports groups of up to 50 people, but you still can’t send pictures or videos in Bluesky’s DMs. Yesterday, Bluesky also announced a “communities” feature it’s planning to add later this year that will offer smaller public or private spaces with their own feeds, like a subreddit.

This exposure-tracking pendant will help you stay safe in the sun.

It’s a similar idea as L’Oréal’s My Skin Track UV sensor, but the $299 (discounted to $199 at launch) Gem smart jewelry wearable from The90 is a more stylish alternative. Its sensors measure UVA and UVB exposure throughout the day and based on your skin profile it will tell you how much sun is safe to get and when to reapply sunscreen through an app.

Will Elon Musk ring the bell? New York City is already ringing his.

We’re still not sure whether Elon Musk will show up to ring the bell on Wall Street for tomorrow’s SpaceX IPO, but he’s already in the city — in the form of an effigy erected in Times Square. Like a similar protest this week outside WWDC, this one also targets Grok for enabling child abuse imagery.
