Yes, the Oura Ring 5 just launched. But if you’re looking for a bargain and don’t mind a slightly thicker smart ring, then copping the last-gen Oura Ring 4 is still a smart and savvy move. Especially since the price is as low as $226 in most sizes and color schemes at Amazon for Prime Day. That’s the biggest price drop we’ve seen on the $349 wearable.

$226

The last-gen Oura Ring 4 is a little thicker, but offers much of the same software, sensors, and a wider range of sizes.

None of the new software features rolling out this month are gatekept to the Oura Ring 5, meaning the Oura Ring 4 still gets all the same metrics when it comes to tracking. Battery life for these sizes is also roughly the same as the new ring, so all you’re really missing out on is the thinner band size and a more durable coating. You’ll also want to keep in mind that not every size and color is discounted, and Oura still has a $6 monthly subscription. But if you’re not too picky, this is a good chance to save a good chunk while seeing if a smart ring is for you.
