Tabs, tidied. A Chrome extension (Manifest V3) for too many tabs: dedupe by full URL, export links, and organize tabs into smart category batches with preview and safe limits.

Features
- Duplicate detection : Matches duplicates by full URL (scheme, host, path, query). See counts before you change anything.
- Close duplicates : Keeps one tab per URL per group (by window and tab order), closes the rest.
- Export : Save all unique tab links as a
.txtfile. - Organize by category : Uses Open Graph, JSON-LD, and hostname hints to group tabs; preview layout before moving tabs; large applies run in batches (see
limits.js).
Use in Chrome (developer mode)
For the published build, install from the Chrome Web Store. To run this repo unpacked:
- Clone or download this repository so you have
manifest.jsonat the root of the extension folder (same folder aspopup.html,background.js, andicons/). - Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions. - Turn Developer mode on (top right).
- Click Load unpacked.
- Choose that folder (the one containing
manifest.json). Tabby appears in your extensions list and its icon in the toolbar. - After you change code, open
chrome://extensionsagain and click Reload on Tabby’s card so updates apply.
No build step is required—the extension is plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
