Clipper turns any webpage into clean, high-fidelity Markdown — preserving the things every other clipper breaks: tables, fenced code blocks, math, footnotes, and images. It's built for power knowledge workers: Obsidian and Logseq users, developers, researchers, and people piping web content into LLMs. ONE KEYSTROKE, FIVE DESTINATIONS • Save to a local folder via the File System Access API (no cloud round-trip, no copy-paste — direct write into your Obsidian vault or any Markdown folder) • Copy Markdown to clipboard • Save as .md download • Open directly in Obsidian (obsidian://new for short clips, obsidian://open for vault-saved files) • Push to a GitHub Gist (Pro) HIGH-FIDELITY EXTRACTION • Defuddle for article extraction (Mozilla Readability's successor) • Turndown + Joplin GFM plugin for HTML → Markdown (tables, strikethrough, task lists, fenced code) • Math via MathML → LaTeX normalization • Footnotes preserved across the entire document • Images: inline base64, co-located vault folder (Pro), or skip — your choice PRIVACY-FIRST, LOCAL-ONLY No analytics. No telemetry. No remote calls except (1) image fetches you opt into, and (2) at-most-hourly license verification to a developer-controlled Cloudflare Worker. Permissions are minimal at install; multi-tab batch mode requests host access at runtime, on your gesture.
