Readox is a Chrome text-to-speech reader for web pages, PDFs, and selected text, with word-by-word highlighting, OCR, and premium English voices that run on your device. Useful for scanned content, screenshots, and image-based documents. Word-by-word highlighting Follow each spoken word in the transcript so you can keep your place and stay focused. Read only what you want Highlight any section on a page and play just that text, or read the whole page. Keyboard shortcuts and playback controls Play, pause, skip, stop, and change speed without leaving the page. Adjustable speed Choose a listening speed from 0.75x to 2x. Privacy-first Speech playback and OCR run locally. Premium voices run on your device. READOX PRO 28 premium English voices Choose from natural-sounding American and British English voices. Premium voices run on your device Premium voices run on your device for private listening with no character caps. Sign in only if you want Pro. AI summaries Get a short summary of a page or selected text when you want the key points fast. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open Readox in the Chrome side panel. 2.
