AI content fatigue is real. I know I’m not alone in feeling the frustration of every piece of content sounding the same - Not just similar topics, but literally the same.

Finger to air, I would say eighty-plus percent of what I read online now sounds the same. The story goes the same almost every time for me. I find something interesting to read on let’s say hacker news or Reddit and I click in and then I am greeted with a wall of text with exactly the same patterns as every other article that I’ve read.

There might have been novel thoughts in a lot of these articles, but I just can’t read it. I can’t move past the beaten to death style of writing that comes from an AI.

And honestly, a lot of the harnesses that combat this aren’t helping either. Removing common tropes isn’t enough.

AI is very geared towards writing in a certain way and the amount of content it is being trained on, which came from AI, is just increasing exponentially. I’m not gonna write further about this topic. This topic has been beaten to death.

But I will talk about the insane lack of diversity that we’re seeing in writing. I constantly get this feeling that I’m stuck reading works from the same unimaginative author, Because the writing style does absolutely impact the delivery of the message.

AI writing still has its place. I think it can still be massaged to have a more distinctive voice.

I miss reading diverse thoughts, presented in diverse/quirky ways.
