On January 24th, 2026, I visited Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park at Pleasanton, California. The park offers stunning views of the city, as well as a variety of wildlife and plant species. During my visit, I captured several photographs of the landscapes and wildlife, including Yellow-Rumped Warbler, Bewick’s Wren, Steller’s Jay, Say’s Phoebe, Mule Deer, Red-Tailed Hawk, California Newt, and Turkey Vulture. On my way back, some other tourists even told me that they were lucky enough to spot a Mountain Lion.
It is the season for California Newts to mate and breed. Those events could be observed in this pound in the park. Across the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park, there is also a Alviso Adobe Community Park. However, it was closed when I visited after I completed the hike at Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park.
