@Knotrocket Yeah, I agree with you. I am going to update the pkgdesc, but renaming to another pkgbase seems too breaking for everyone. Let us continue using this pkgbase so every existing user won't need a manual migration.

This package's name and description are misleading now that its primary patch has been upstreamed.

This package now only has no-omnibox-suggestion-autocomplete.patch by noahvogt, which allows you disable auto completion in address bar completely.

Is it worth keeping this around just for that? If so could it be renamed?

Good news: xdg-basedir.patch has landed since 146.0.7680.0. This means if you just need chromium not to create .pki directory in your home, you can consider aur/ungoogled-chromium or extra/chromium now. This package now only has no-omnibox-suggestion-autocomplete.patch by noahvogt, which allows you disable auto completion in address bar completely.

BREAKING CHANGE: The pki folder is moved from .local/share/chrome/pki to .local/share/pki to follow comment in xdg-basedir.patch. You may need a migration like removing the old one and/or adding your custom certificates in the browser again.

For people who want to try a recently prebuilt version, you can check my OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ZhangHua:ungoogled-chromium-xdg/ungoogled-chromium-xdg

But please note that this OBS repository is not official, nor it is supported by noahvogt, it is just my personal repository to build and use a more recent ungoogled-chromium-xdg.

Edit: It seems that noahvogt is MIA for such a long time that this package is orphaned, I will take over this package, but I am not familiar with C++ so I cannot say how long this package can be maintained by myself.

@Ranguvar Some other people seem to have the same problem on ungoogled-chromium. But this still shouldn't happen.

Btw, this package doesn't need any packages from the [testing] repo.

You can check out [ungoogled-chromium-xdg-bin] where I provide reproducible binaries (made in a clean chroot using ccm). In the binaries I provided, just unzstd und tar -xf (untar) them and check the .BUILDINFO file. This show all exact dependencies and their versions used in the chroot to make the package. Does this match with the versions in your build environment?

(P.S. If you reproduce a packge using makerepropkg (from devtools) it will download the exact same versions off all dependencies in the .BUILDINFO file from the archlinux package archive.)

Currently failing to build for me with many linker errors on these 'different target triples' between pc and unknown, and haven't found a solution.

I'm using [testing] fully updated but haven't built this recently so not sure if a package upgrade broke something.

Thank you @kovdan01 for your comment. After the package builds successfully with the patches for clang 17, it will automatically update this aur package and its -bin package.

@noahvogt Consider updating compiler-rt-16.patch to compiler-rt-17.patch. Current version of the compiler-rt package is 17 in Arch repos
