Thanks for your contributions, jacko.
Seems like the new version of linkserver is fine as well with the IDE. I found that you need to go to Linkserver config in the IDE and specify the directory to be /opt/linkserver.
Also, I think this package needs some more dependencies. I found that linkserver requires python3.8 and libncurses5 (or these might be required for MCUxpresso). Refer to the installation guide here which I took from the install directory of mcuxpresso: https://github.com/jack-obrien/broken-knees/blob/main/MCUXpresso_IDE_11.10.0_Installation_Guide.pdf
I found that without these dependencies, running linkserver would fail.
These are provided by the arch packages python38 and ncurses5-compat-libs
@jacko, I noticed the issue. Seems that the version of linkserver in mcuxpresso-ide is bound by mcuxpresso-ide. However, I haven't tested whether the newer version of linkserver works fine in mcuxpresso-ide.
Hey, looks like this pkg build requires the version of linkserver which is packaged with mcuxpresso-ide, i.e. 1.6.133 (it is contained in the deb.bin). If you follow the upstream URL listed here, it points to the version 24.9.75 which seems to be incompatible with the IDE.
This package needs to be installed manually instead of AUR helpers. Please read the build instructions in the PKGBUILD. You will need an account on nxp.com to download the LinkServer binary.
