With >=8.0.1, using anydesk on sway with scaling of 1.5 breaks remote session with wayland backend (I assume, since the UI scales perfectly now). Only the UI is scaled but the remote session viewport is not scaled. Switching to X11 (and XWayland) works fine for now. Just want to leave this comment in case anyone encounter the same issue.
@spsf64 Older versions also worked the same without the package. Version 8 made no changes related to that. Without the package it still logs sh: 1: domainname: not found.
@Edu4rdSHL I don't know where you got that info from. It's nowhere mentioned in the changelog for 8.0. I just tried it and it doesn't work. Upon connecting it says "Remote display server is not supported (e.g. Wayland)"
Anydesk >=8 supports Wayland now. Is it possible to change the Exec=env GDK_BACKEND=x11 /usr/bin/anydesk %u line to simply Exec=/usr/bin/anydesk %u so that Anydesk respects GDK_BACKEND=wayland if set by the user?
Thanks!
@D3SOX version 8 seems to be working fine without "yp-tools", can't it be moved to optdepends? Thanks for maintaining this package!
Could you update to 7.1.3 the latest version. I'm taking connection error maybe related with it?
@inutakhan Added aarch64 support with the latest release. Can you test if it works and report back? I don't have a Pi at the place I'm at rn
@Kawa That's not a packaging issue. You need to tell this the AnyDesk team
anydesk do not support wayland (KDE Plasma)
reinstalled and it's ok now for 7.1.1. thanx
