Noah Lennox’s Panda Bear is continuing this year’s run of Animal Collective spinoff projects with the announcement of A ? of When, his latest collaborative effort with Pete Kember’s Sonic Boom. The follow-up to their 2022 LP Reset features contributions from Mary Lattimore and Daniel O’Sullivan. The album debuts via physical formats and download on July 10 but will skip streaming services entirely. Also available on download: The first single of A ? of When, which you can check out here.

In a statement, Lennox and Kember note that “Going forward we're looking to radio, live shows, listening parties, Q&A sessions & real life interactions to get back to a place we feel makes more sense. To that end, we're asking you to join us offline, outside of social media. To meet us in the real world. IRL not URL…” You can read their full statement, quirky formatting intact, below.

From here on in we're getting back to a place of real connectivity and as you might have noticed from our new “Graveyard”/“Lucky Charm” 7" (only available from record stores) there's no streaming, no videos, and a minimisation of online everything.
