A handful of AI-generated Doja Cat songs hit the internet earlier this week, and she took issue with fans circulating the tracks while slamming the use of AI.

“All of those songs that are leaking that they’re saying are mine are AI. None of it is me,” Doja wrote to X on Tuesday (June 23) in two messages. “Really disappointed in everyone thinking that’s me :/ Fuck AI for real.”

A fan accused Doja of lying, to which the Grammy-winning artist replied: “I’m not. why are you lying to yourself?”

With AI becoming a relatively new trend in music, fans may lack the literacy to discern which vocals are real and which are AI-generated, while others seem not to care either way if they’re enjoying what they’re hearing.

Doja’s maintained a love-hate relationship with social media, which she expanded on during an interview with Vogue in March. “It’s a useless way to spend your time,” she told the magazine. “It doesn’t do anything for you other than entertain a part of you that was built during your childhood, a part of you that is stuck in the past.”

Doja Cat hasn’t released any new singles in 2026, but dished out an assist on Latto’s “Okayyy.” Doja’s Vie LP arrived in September 2025 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The 30-year-old’s fan-favorite album Planet Her — which peaked at No. 2 — also celebrates its fifth anniversary on Thursday (June 25) after arriving in 2021.

Doja wrapped up the European leg of her Tour Ma Vie World Tour earlier in June, and she’s set to kick off the North American portion of the trek in October with a first U.S. date in Detroit.
