FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies: Here’s How to Watch Shakira, Katy Perry & Others Perform Live Online

Spread across two days, the opening ceremonies take place in Mexico, Canada and the United States starting on Thursday (June 11).

The FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off with three star-studded opening ceremonies. The international soccer tournament features three massive lineups set to take place in Mexico, Canada and the United States starting on Thursday (June 11).

Soccer and music fans can look forward to head-turning performances from popular recording artists, including Shakira, J Balvin, BLACKPINK’s LISA, Katy Perry, Tyla, Alanis Morissette, Anitta, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara and others. Check out complete lineups for each opening ceremony here.

How to Watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremonies Live Online At a Glance:

Mexico’s ceremony is up first on Thursday (June 11), while it has a start time of 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT. Additionally, Canada’s opening ceremony takes place a day later on Friday (June 12) starting at 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT. And finally, the United States show happens a few hours later at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.

Each show is available to watch on Fox in English and Telemundo in Spanish.

Shakira and Burna Boy leads the show in Mexico, which will take place at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Meanwhile, Bublé and Morissette are featured at the top of the lineup for Canada’s festivities, which are held at BMO Field, temporarily changed to Toronto Stadium. Katy Perry headlines the ceremony in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium, ahead of the Team USA’s first match against Paraguay.

How to Watch 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies Love Online for Free

Each of the three events is set to start about 90 minutes before kickoff. Below, you’ll find how to tune-in to the three opening ceremonies online.

DIRECTV

Our preferred way to watch the opening ceremonies is with one of DIRECTV’s Signature Packages, which start at $59.99 for the first month of service ($89.99 per month afterward). You can snag a five-day free trial through DIRECTV when you sign up, letting you test out your subscription before committing. Subscribing lets you watch Fox online, as the “Entertainment” package include Fox and Fox Sports.

For Telemundo, go with the streaming service’s “MiEspañol Genre Pack,” which goes for $29.99 per month for the first two months ($34.99 per month afterward). The pack comes with more than 60 Spanish-language channels too.

Other perks you’ll be able to enjoy include unlimited DVR storage, local channels and the ability to stream on up to three devices at once.

Sling Blue

You can watch the exciting performances from the opening ceremonies by signing up for Sling Blue. This plan focuses more on entertainment-based channels. Starting at $45.99 a month, you can watch live TV, local networks such as ABC and Fox (in select markets) and cable networks including Bravo, Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, E!, Fox Sports, FX, MS NOW, National Geographic, SYFY, TLC, BET, CNN, Vice and others.

Sling TV offers Telemundo as part of its Sling Latino plan, which goes for $10 per month and features more than 20 other Spanish-language channels.

Fubo

Fubo offers new users a five-day free trial. With prices starting at $48.99 for the first month of service ($73.99 per month afterward), each plan comes with Fox in 4K, as well as FS1, FS2, Fox Soccer Plus and Fox Deportes — along with access to the Fox One streaming service. It also comes with Telemundo. You’ll be able to watch a slew of channels with unlimited DVR and the option to stream on multiple devices at once.

Hulu + Live TV

Get the most content options, including the option to watch Fox, FS1 and FS2 with Hulu + Live TV. Not only will you get more than 90 live TV channels, but access to the entire Hulu library, Disney+ and ESPN Unlimited for catalog library and original programming. The service has a three-day free trial. A regular subscription price starts at $89.99 a month.

Fox One

You can watch all of the opening ceremonies on Fox One, the network’s official streaming service. Fox One is available as an add-on on Prime Video and comes with a three-day free trial.

The service is an add-on subscription channel that gives you access to live and on-demand programming from Fox News, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, Fox Deportes, Fox local stations and Fox entertainment, including the World Cup 2026 performances. Once your free trial is up, subscribers pay $19.99 a month. To access this add-on channel, you’ll need an Prime Video subscription, which comes with a Prime membership. If you don’t already have one, it will cost you $14.99 a month.
