Guess who’s back, back again: Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s “Rein Me In” has scooped its 14th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart dated June 26.

The collaboration rebounds to the summit after a four-week absence, during which tracks by Ariana Grande (“Hate That I Made You Love Me”) and Taylor Swift (“I Knew It, I Knew You”) held court at the top of the chart.

As a result, “Rein Me In” has now overtaken Alex Warren’s stirring ballad “Ordinary” for the longest-running U.K. No. 1 in the 2020s so far. Warren achieved a non-consecutive 13-week run in 2025, overtaking Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits,” which earned 11 weeks.

Drake’s “One Dance” holds the 21st century record with 15 weeks at the top, while the overall leader remains the late U.S. singer-songwriter Frankie Laine, whose track “I Believe” notched 18 non-consecutive weeks in 1958. 

“Rein Me In” first appeared on Fender’s Mercury Prize-winning 2025 album People Watching, and was remixed last summer with a new verse from Dean. The song first hit No. 1 in February 2026 and later won song of the year at the BRIT Awards, and received a special 7” vinyl release June 20 to commemorate its first anniversary. 

Following the bumper success of her third LP you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which remains atop the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart this week, Olivia Rodrigo occupies three spots in the top five. “Stupid Song” lands at No. 2, followed by “The Cure” (No. 4) and previous chart-topper “Drop Dead” (No. 5). Michael Jackson completes the upper slate with “Billie Jean” at No. 3, following Michael’s continued box-office success.

As Harry Styles’ record-breaking Wembley Stadium residency rolls on, he continues to enjoy a boost across streaming platforms, with “American Girls” jumping back into the top 10 at No. 8. 2017’s ”Sign of the Times” hops up nine spots to No. 19, while “Aperture” appears at No. 27.

Country phenomenon Ella Langley clinches a new personal best, banking her first-ever U.K. top 10 single with “Choosin’ Texas” landing at No. 9. Langley’s  “Be Her” also  edges closer to the top 40, sitting just outside the main standings at No. 43.

Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026, also makes major moves on the chart this week. The track scores a top 20 position for the first time, coming in at No. 19 and outperforming Shakira’s previous 2010 World Cup anthem, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”  featuring Freshlyground, which peaked at No. 21 upon release.
