Banijay Iberia will bring its immersive experience ‘Luminiscence’ to Seville’s stunning Parish of San Jacinto, in its Triana district, home to famed flamenco dancers, bullfights and sailors who sailed to Spain’s New World in the Americas. 

Set to debut in October, the Seville ‘Luminiscence’ marks the third city in Spain to host the global immersive phenomenon, after bowing in San Sebastián at its Buen Pastor Cathedral and in Barcelona, where a total 115,000 people have attended over 500 performances in a first season run.  

In all, launching in 2023, ‘Luminiscence’  has scored almost two million tickets to date, as Banijay has scaled the immersive experience over eight countries setting events at some of the world’s most beautiful churches, cathedrals and historic landmarks in France, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, and the U.S. Banijay Live, part of Banijay Entertainment, acquired Lotchi, the producer of immersive live experiences and creator of ‘Luminiscence’ in January 2025. Banijay Entertainment still maintains its core business in TV content. 

As Variety has noted, in recent years it has diversified into sports and live entertainment with much success. The live experiences & other segment grew 18.2% last year from €336 million ($393 million) to €397 million ($465 million). In Its latest results, Banijay Group highlighted live entertainment as a growth driver on results over Jan.-March 2026, up 101.5% year-on-year, driven by the Milano Cortina Olympic Games opening ceremony and the continued strong performance of “Luminiscence,” live in six countries.

Each immersive event features live music, narration, 360º video mapping and state-of-the-art monumental projections, “breathing life into our heritage while actively contributing to its preservation through the donations generated by our shows,” Lotchi founder Bruno Sarfati noted when Banijay bought his company. 

Each experience, however, is different. The Seville experience may capture the Church of San Jacinto with its hallmark red brick and ochre Baroque facade, three naves or impressive dome. It will certainly feature a specially curated repertoire of sacred music, performed live by a choir of Seville-based voices, adding a distinctive local dimension to the multisensory production, Banijay Iberia promised Monday.
