Anonymous Content has signed fast-rising Australian writer, director, producer and actor Nick Annas for representation, followed what it describes as a competitive situation.

Based in Sydney, the 20-year-old is, according to Anonymous, “one of the most exciting young multi-hyphenate voices of his generation.”

Annas is currently in post-production on his debut feature film “Crashout,” a Gen-Z thriller he wrote while still in high school. The film stars Catherine Laga’aia in her first role following Disney’s upcoming live-action “Moana,” alongside Joe Bird (“Talk to Me”) and newcomer Evelyn Sims and follows a group of new high school graduates whose celebratory road trip spirals into tragedy. When an accident leaves one of their friends dead, the three remaining teens — panicked and terrified of the consequences — decide to stage a found-footage film to rewrite the night and save their futures.

At just 14 years old, Annas’ screenplay Herschel made him a finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, and the ScreenCraft Feature Fellowship, establishing him early on as a emerging writing talent. Around the same time, he became Australia’s youngest published playwright through PlayLab Theatre.

Annas began his career as a child actor and has since appeared in projects including HBO and BBC’s “The Tourist,” George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” and “Peter Rabbit 2.” He trained at the Australian Theatre for Young People and was a five-time drama scholarship recipient at The McDonald College, one of Australia’s leading performing arts schools.

Beyond his work in film and television, Annas has become an active voice in conversations surrounding Gen-Z storytelling and emerging creatives, speaking on panels at SXSW for three consecutive years.

Annas continues to be represented by Sophie Jermyn Management in Australia.
