Out in Hollywood Reveals 2026 Out Loud List of Best Un-Produced Queer TV Pilots
Joe Otterson · 2026-06-26 · via Variety

Out in Hollywood has unveiled the 2026 Out Loud list, featuring the best un-produced queer-focused pilot scripts from the past year.

This year marks the sixth installment of the list, with Out in Hollywood once again partnering with Gersh. The chosen writers set to be feted at a special reception in Los Angeles hosted by

Out in Hollywood today announced its annual Out Loud List of the best un-produced, queer-focused pilot scripts from the past year, to be celebrated at a special reception in Los Angeles hosted by Jeff & Maridette Greenberg and sponsored by Writ Large.

“The distinct voices exploring the queer spectrum have never mattered more and they deserve to be heard,” said Logan Kriete, on behalf of the Out in Hollywood board. “These pilots aren’t just a celebration of who we are, they’re a force for change, a demand for empathy, and proof that queer stories move every audience. This year’s storytellers reflect the full range of queer imagination, and they make clear what we have always known: when queer writers are given the space to tell stories freely, they don’t just add to the culture, they push it forward.”

Each script was nominated by queer professionals in the entertainment community and then evaluated through a blind review process led by Out Loud Hollywood’s founding board as well as a guest panel of queer producers and executives. Submissions are evaluated on a number of criteria and a queer storytelling lens adapted from GLAAD’s Vito-Russo Test.

This year’s list covers a range of genres, including sci-fi, crime, thriller, coming-of-age, comedy, and drama.

The full list can be found below, ordered alphabetically by pilot title and complete with brief synopses of each script and representation information:

Out Loud List 2026 Selections

CURANDERA

Writer: Roberto Fatal (they/them)

Logline: An aspiring curandera and their misfit homies must use a mix of Indigenous spirituality, modern science and old fashioned detective work to solve supernatural mysteries in their small California barrio.

Rep: Jason Lubin (First Story Entertainment)

CUSP

Writer: Oliver Warren (he/him)

Logline: Two queer runaways crash into the brittle, privileged world of a gay New York academic who’s never been a father, and sure as hell doesn’t want to start now.

Rep: Justin Ross (Bohemia Group)

ELYSIUM

Writers: Christian Jordan Grier (he/him) & Dane Styler (he/him)

Logline: Testing their relationship, an unstable couple embarks on an all-gay cruise, descending into a seductive world of sex, drugs, and social currency, where guests and crew spiral toward their fatal breaking points.

Rep: Christian — Adrian Gonzalez (Yak Yak), Dane open to representation

EVERYTHING I LEARNED IN AMERICA, I LEARNED ON GRINDR

Writer: Yilong Liu (he/him)

Logline: Vincent keeps a spreadsheet of every man he’s ever slept with since he got to America. When he fucks up his green card wedding for a hookup, he’s forced to rebuild his entire life using the only network he’s ever had: his Grindr contacts.

Rep: Jiah Shin (CAA)

GUMSHOE

Writers: Jordan Gustafson (they/them) & Phillip Iscove (he/him) & Kenny Neibart (he/him) & Brooke Solomon (she/her)

Logline: A snarky, gender-fluid private eye reluctantly teams up with their brand new roommate (a noir-obsessed LA transplant) after a seemingly innocuous case draws the pair into a decades-old Hollywood conspiracy.

Reps: Phillip — Joel Begleiter (TFC), Kenny — Scott Perraud (UTA), Jordan & Brooke open to representation

HELL ON EARTH

KILLING ALL THE RIGHT PEOPLE

Writers: Chase Heinrich (he/him) & Micah Steinberg (he/him)

Rep: Danny Simeone (Kaplan Stahler)

PUBERTY TOO

Writer: V Marks (they/he)

Logline: A nerdy trans girl wins one high school ping-pong game and America loses its mind. Now, she must prove she doesn’t have a biological advantage by training to be the worst ping-pong player of all time.

Rep: Amar Hansen (Anonymous Content)

RUSH

Writer: Kristin Griffith (she/her)

Logline: Megan’s got the boyfriend, the sorority, and the presidency in sight—until she catches feelings for Zoe, the tattooed campus singer. Between rush week and a secret romance, she’s about to learn there’s no pledge process for coming out.

Rep: Jon Katzman (KDX Entertainment)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Writer: Michael Iannaconi (he/him)

Logline: Out-and-proud Patrick and closeted Luke are happily in love…sorta. Patrick is all in, but Luke worries their relationship might hurt his blossoming political career. Patrick doesn’t mind it, but there’s just one problem: he’s pregnant…with Luke’s child…and, as far as the world’s concerned, the Second Coming of Christ.

Rep: Davis Nann (Circle Management + Production)
