Broadway PR Firm Polk & Co Promotes Colgan McNeil, Kelly ...

Broadway publicity firm Polk & Co. has promoted two longtime press agents, Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister, to partners. They will work on the leadership team alongside founder Matt Polk.

The announcement comes a few days after the Tony Awards, where Polk repped winners including the punk-rock vampire musical “The Lost Boys” and the biting relationship play “Becky Shaw.”

“Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister joined Polk & Co. over a decade ago and from the start, they embodied the work ethic, values, and philosophical approach that defines this company,” Polk said in a statement. “What sets Colgan and Kelly apart is their rare ability to honor the discipline of traditional publicity while pushing our work boldly forward — meeting the creative demands of an industry in constant evolution. It is with enormous pride and excitement that I announce they are becoming partners at Polk & Co. This is a recognition long in the making, and I look forward to building the next decade of this company alongside them.”

McNeil has been working as a theatrical press agent for over 15 years, leading publicity campaigns for Broadway and Off-Broadway productions as well as television and film projects including “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Funny Girl” and “Chess.” He previously worked at Disney Theatrical Group and The Hartman Group.

Stotmeister also began her career over 15 years ago, representing Broadway and touring theatrical productions. Recent highlights include the Alicia Keys jukebox musical “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Some Like It Hot,” “Take Me Out” and “The Color Purple.”

Polk & Co. currently represents “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Death Becomes Her,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Giant,” “Just in Time,” “The Rocky Horror Show,” among others on Broadway. In recent years, the firm has worked on Tony winners like “Maybe Happy Ending,” “Kimberly Akimbo,” “A Strange Loop,” “Purpose” and “Anything Goes.”
