Sonos' flagship Arc Ultra soundbar is currently on sale for $899 after a $200 discount is applied during the Sonos Summer Sale that kicks off this month. However, there's an even better deal right under its nose. Head over to the recertified section and you'll find a refurbished Arc Ultra for just $749. That's a better savings of $350 and the lowest price I've seen, ever. If this is a gift for your dad, if you order now you'll definitely receive it before Father's Day.
If you're on the fence solely because this is a refurb item, don't be. Sonos recertified products go through rigorous testing; they come with all accessories, manuals, and documentation and are reshipped in "pristine" packaging. Most importantly, Sonos includes the same 1-year warranty as buying new.

Given the number of upgrades, the Sonos Arc Ultra should be considered more as a new class of flagship soundbar than a mere update of the original Arc. At first glance, both look similar, with the same 46" long profile, but the internals are totally different. Whereas the Arc featured a 5.0.2ch setup with eleven speakers and no sub, the Arc Ultra boasts an expanded 9.4.1ch setup with fourteen speakers including a four-motor, dual-membrane Sound Motion woofer for better bass response and low end. This is a pretty significant upgrade alone if you don't plan on adding a discrete subwoofer.
The Arc Ultra also supports Dolby Atmos thanks to two dedicated up-firing tweeters for spatial audio and new AI enhancement technology to isolate and boost the clarity of dialogue and voices. The audio savvy knows that a single speaker isn't enough to reproduce an entire soundstage. If you could pick only one other speaker, then a subwoofer would make the most meaningful impact. The Sonos Sub 4 has hit a new price low during the recertified sale. It's currently priced at $619, a savings of 31%. The Sub 4 features dual inward-facing 5"x8" woofers and a traditional ported design that allows for a louder and deeper low-end. It also has much more power than the Sub Mini and can reverberate the walls of any sized room in your house.
